在CHINACOAT2007涂料展上，慧聪网涂料行业频道编辑就科宁公司产品及市场发展问题，采访了科宁功能化学品副总裁 全球市场及业务开发总监 Patrice Pinsard先生，同时感谢科宁化工中国涂料部市场经理吴晓天。
慧聪网：科宁公司在94年率先进入了中国，作为科宁公司的全球市场部总监，您能否介绍一下目前科宁公司的生产规模及科宁在市场中的位置和特点呢?
Patrice Pinsard：众所周知， 科宁公司是一家注重创新的特种化学品及营养品的跨国公司，专注于健康、可持续发展的理念。科宁公司在全球拥8000名员工并在30个国家设有生产基地及客服中心。科宁公司致力于利用天然原料开发高档食品，营养保健品，化妆品及洗涤护肤用品，促进可持续发展。另一方面，也积极活跃在其它工业领域，如涂料，油墨，润滑油，纺织，农药及采矿业等。科宁公司拥有世界领先的天然油脂化学合资企业科宁油脂50%的股份。科宁公司的股权由风险投资基金公司所拥有，分别是：博米拉，高盛资产股份公司和SV生命科学公司。2006，科宁完成33.7亿欧元的销售。实现税前利润（EBITDA）3.94亿欧元。

HC360： Cognis took the lead in entering China market in 1994. As the Vice President Marketing and Business Development Functional Products of Cognis, could you give us a brief about the Cognis, its business, its position in the market and its future direction especially in the coating industry?
Patrice Pinsard：As many of you are aware, Cognis is a worldwide supplier of innovative specialty chemicals and nutritional ingredients, with a particular focus on the areas of wellness and sustainability. The company employs about 8,000 people, and it operates production sites and service centers in 30 countries. Cognis has dedicated its activities to a high level of sustainability and delivers natural source raw materials and ingredients for food, nutrition and healthcare markets, and the cosmetics, detergents and cleaners industries. Another main focus is on products for a number of other industries, such as coatings and inks, lubricants, textiles, as well as agriculture and mining. The company holds a 50-percent stake in the joint venture Cognis Oleochemicals, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of oleochemicals. Cognis is owned by private equity funds advised by Permira, GS Capital Partners, and SV Life Sciences. In 2006, Cognis recorded sales of 3.37 billion euros and an Adjusted EBITDA (operating result) of 394 million euros.
Customers in the paints, coatings and inks industry are becoming more demanding all the time. Manufacturers are constantly trying to cut costs, while maintaining standards of performance and efficiency – and at the same time, environmental sustainability is also becoming increasingly important in Asia, as it has done elsewhere in the world. Cognis Functional Products anticipated these shifts in demand, and offers solutions that make manufacturers’ production processes more efficient and cost-effective, yet which are also environmentally sound.
