Under this situation, those multinationals adhering to the concept of sustainable development have been highly recognized by various concerned parties. Innovation is the key to promote sustainable development, and is also a basis to achieve profitable growth. BASF has made a lot of efforts in innovation, and the Regional Business Unit Dispersions Asia Pacific is taking the lead as an innovator by increasing its investment in the research and development of highly effective, environmentally friendly and energy-efficient products. As a responsible corporate citizen that pioneers and disseminates the concept of corporate societal responsibilities, BASF is widely recognized by the Chinese government and the general public for its outstanding performance in community commitment and sustainable development. Recently, we had the honor to interview Mr. Tony Wu Xiaodong, General Manager of the Dispersions Greater China division of BASF Greater China, who shared his valuable experience and advanced industrial concepts.

    HC360.com: Hello, Mr. Wu, thank you for agreeing to this interview despite your busy schedule. We know that, as a renowned international multinational chemical corporation, BASF has many segments, of which each segment has its irreplaceable role and status in different chemical industries. Could you please tell us your business policy and future direction about the development of your department in China?

    Wu Xiaodong: BASF is the world’s leading chemical company that offers intelligent solutions and high-value products for almost all industries. In line with BASF’s overall goal, we want to use our products and services to successfully shape the future of our customers, business partners and employees.  We will continue to develop new technologies and use them to meet the challenges of the future and open up additional market opportunities without compromising on environmental protection and social responsibility.
